So, today in the car on the way to the grocery store I popped in Paul Simon's 1991 Concert in the Park. I've been obsessed with this concert since Dad's recent blog about it. The drums of The Obvious Child began, and Ellie started smiling. A few lines into the first verse, she declared, "I like this." "I'm so glad," I responded, "it's Paul Simon." A few songs later, she told me, "I like Paul Simon. I want more Paul Simon." Oh, what beautiful words from the mouth of my child!

Classic!
Lovely! I remember your obsession with Paul Simon from the dorm days, isn't it great when we can share the things we love with our children?
I knew she was one of us!
exquisite taste, just like her mother:) Next stop: French pastries...
Hugs from Boston...
S,T&t
i remember driving to DC for a temple trip counting cars on the new jersey turnpike - wonderful she has your same taste :)
No doubt she is her mother's daughter.
The spirit must have told me to check up on you. I admit I fell off the boat somwhere after the iwishes post. But it's almost like you're a regular now! The Paul Simon bit is delightful. The nice thing is that when she's older, you'll tell her that story, and no matter what her actual leanings at the time are, she'll feel an obligation to love him. She won't be able to resist. Also, your post on New York was perfect. You say something about a bag, something about a museum, and a lot of things about food. A good trip on all counts.
Great taste!
